Season 2, Episode 11 of The Eldritch Estate is about the heinous murder of Helen Jewett. Taking place in New York City in 1836, Helen's murder was a media sensation. The newspapers posted ludicrous things about her life, the case, and her supposed murderer. It was one of the first major murder cases to garner such attention, and continues to be one of the largest examples of gross injustice both in the media and the court.

Thank you again for a wonderful podcast. And thank you for using the term sex worker rather than the other derogatory terms and thank you for continuing to use the term folks experiencing houselessness. I love that you two can use fowl language and still maintain sensitivity to marginalized folks. Thank you for making this my favorite podcast!
